We guarantee that every online transaction you make will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at our online store. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, we will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. We will only cover this liability if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made while using the secure server. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

We also protect your purchase by preventing the shipment of merchandise to a fraudulent address. All billing addresses are verified electronically and all alternate shipping addresses are verified manually.

PlaceSettings does not provide any third party with any individually identifiable information other than that which is necessary to complete your order. Specifically, PlaceSettings gives your name, shipping address, phone number, and order information to our shipping carrier and/or drop-ship manufacturers. PlaceSettings also supplies your name, billing address, and credit card information to the credit card processor who bills your account. PlaceSettings has strict guidelines requiring all third parties to keep any shared personal information confidential.

  • Can I return my merchandise purchased from PlaceSettings.com?

Absolutely.  Any Items Purchased from PlaceSettings.com can be Returned.  Everything we sell is first quality. If you are not happy with your purchase for any reason, just return the merchandise unused in its original packaging along with your name, address and reason for return within 15 days of the date received.  No Exceptions Will Be Made after 15 Days of Receipt. A refund will be issued for the total purchase price of items returned as soon as items are received by PlaceSettings. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, and shipping will not be refunded except in cases of breakage or defects if a customer does not want a replacement. Orders for custom patterns cannot be returned, exchanged, or canceled. Customers will be charged upon submission of their orders, and delivery can be several weeks to months depending on stock availability at the manufacturer. Custom items cannot be returned except in cases of breakage or defects. Custom orders may not be canceled more than 24 hours after placing the order. If any free products were received with purchase, they must be returned also, or full price will be charged for these products.  We suggest insuring your return.  If item arrives broken, PlaceSettings is not responsible.

  • What is PlaceSettings.com's policy for replacing damaged or defective merchandise?

PlaceSettings carefully packs and insures all orders, however in the event that you receive broken or damaged goods please call us at 1-800-822-0850 or click here to complete our Damaged/Defective Merchandise Form immediately so that we may file a claim with UPS to retrieve the damaged goods.  Damaged or Defective Merchandise Must Be Reported Immediately Upon Receipt.  We will send a replacement out to you as soon as possible. Please be sure to retain the damaged goods in it's original packaging for UPS inspection for at least 10 business days.  In the event of that you receive defective merchandise, please follow the above policy as well.  In addition, many of our orders are drop shipped straight from the manufacturer to the customer in order to save shipping time.  In the event that you receive a damaged or defective good in a drop shipment, please do not contact the manufacturer, call or click here to have merchandise replaced.  This is to avoid any confusion and get your replacement to you as soon as possible.

  • Do You Gift Wrap?

PlaceSettings will Gift Wrap items ordered from our on-line store.  The cost is $7.00 per item.  The gift wrap check box must be checked under the item to be gift wrapped.  Note:  Items to be gift wrapped may take longer to ship since these items cannot be drop shipped from the manufacturer.  Volume of orders to be gift wrapped can also slow delivery time.

  • .What is the shipping fee?

Normal shipping charges are $7.50 up to $75.00, then 10% of total order. All orders are shipped UPS ground unless otherwise requested. We are no longer offering International Shipping.

  • What is the shipping time for orders placed?

PlaceSettings.com makes every effort to ship direct from our warehouse or drop ship your order as quickly as possible.  Because some items need to be ordered from the manufacturer, shipping may take up to four weeks.  If an item is on back order, we make every effort to notify the customer by e-mail.  We process and ship/dropship your order as soon as possible but delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. If an item is on back order, delivery may take longer.  Many items in our product range are hand-crafted and/or imported from overseas. Every effort is made to notify the customer of back orders.  If an order is placed for a special order item or an item from a custom pattern, delivery time can vary depending on PlaceSettings' or the manufacturer's stock availability.  Special order and custom items are noted in our on-line store. Custom orders may not be canceled more than 24 hours after ordering, and customers will be charged upon submission of the order. Again, every effort is made to notify the customer of an ETA on special order or custom items if they are not available at the time of order.  If for any reason you need an item by a specific date, please click here and submit an Order Questions, Changes or Problems form.  Customer service will contact you regarding your request.  

If we are unable to fulfill any part of your order our liability is limited to the refund of any monies you may have already paid us for the undelivered goods.

  • I did not receive my merchandise that PlaceSettings.com shipped?

If for any reason you do not receive your order that has been shipped, contact PlaceSettings.com as soon as possible.  We will contact UPS to launch an investigation.  Since all items shipped are insured, if UPS has lost the package, they will pay for the replacement.  Once the investigation is complete, PlaceSettings.com will ship a replacement.  It is very important that you contact us immediately.  Please click here and submit an Order Changes/Problems form immediately.

  • When am I charged for my order?

Once the order is downloaded and processed by PlaceSettings.com, the order is charged. If an order is drop shipped from the manufacturer, you will be charged when the drop shipment is processed.  We do make partial shipments in the event that part of your order is on back order as long as we have a sufficient amount to ship.

  • Are your items first quality?

Yes.  We only carry first quality merchandise that has been purchased from the manufacturer.
